Have you known people who loved power-packed singing and worship?  They smiled approvingly at the testimonies and sermons. If trouble came they knew where to call for help. They enjoyed the “Splash-over” blessings they felt when dedicated saints were blessed, and readily accepted healing when someone else prayed the prayer of faith, but could never get to the point of surrender and total commitment of heart and life to God.

We can have “THE POWER”, but there is a price to pay. Jesus never gave the guarantee, “Live any way you want, but when you need something, just call and I’ll be there. He did however, say, “If you love me keep my commandments. When the disciples came and asked Jesus why they couldn’t heal the insane child, He explained that it was because of their lack of faith. He told them with faith nothing would be impossible to them, but He went on to say, “this kind (this faith) goeth not out but by prayer and fasting Matthew 17:20-21. Jesus has a plan for a power filled life. He gave Peter the Keys to the Kingdom, and Peter preached this plan on the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2. He said we must first repent (tell God we are sorry for all our sins and promise to forsake them). Then he commanded us to be baptized in the Name of Jesus for the washing away of our sins. When we have obeyed, God promised to fill us with his Holy Spirit with the sign of speaking in tongues (a language not our own).

With this experience comes “THE POWER”. Acts 1:8. Power to overcome sinful temptations, power to pray and see miracles happen, power to witness, power to live holy and be ready for heaven. Jesus promised that with this power we would be able to do even greater things than his disciple had seen him do.

All we have to do is tap into the power source and keep paying the bill!!!

We hear a lot about power today, we read of military power, presidential power, man power, black power, nuclear power, will power and electrical power.

There is a power that is greater than any other power in the universe that is the power of “God Almighty-Spiritual Power”.

We sing the songs, “Power in the Blood”, The Blood will never lose its power, Power, Power, wonder working power. We make our prayer requests for our needs and many times are surprised when they are answered I believe that none of us, no matter how long we have been saved or miracles we have seen happen have ever yet grasped what awesome strength and power there is in God.
